About Us

The Northwest Iowa Dialysis Center (NIDC) was established in 2006 from a unique partnership between Sanford Sheldon Medical Center, Orange City Area Health System and Sanford Health Network. The facility, constructed in 2006, presently has eight state-of-the-art stations.

The NIDC staff includes Registered Nurses, Dialysis Needle Technicians, a social worker and dietician. A Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse) is in charge of the Chronic Dialysis unit.

Our Philosophy
The philosophy of the Northwest Iowa Dialysis Center is to provide quality dialysis treatment in a safe environment and to provide that care in a manner that will optimally benefit the patient's well being.

It is our goal to restore the patient to his/her highest level of functioning, in consideration of his or her renal disease, and to encourage patient rehabilitation and independence.

The Northwest Dialysis Center has an open door policy for individual nephrologists.
